Devin McGee graduated in 2017 with a Master's degree in Animal Science where he studied the effects of viral infections on preterm birth. He then took his reproductive biology training and spent over a year working as a junior embryologist in a human IVF clinic where he trained doing egg retrievals, micromanipulation, freezing and thawing embryos, and embryo transfers. In 2020 Devin joined Van Andel Institute where he now helps investigate the underlying pathogenesis of neurodegenerative disease. Current work involves utilization of novel open source programs for brain pathology analysis including a program that touts interactive machine learning for bioimage analysis.
